Due to growth and the opening of a new area, we are currently seeking two experienced and passionate Chef de Parties to join our team. The successful applicants will be talented Chefs who love what they do!

 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

In this position you will ensure that only the best, high quality food is served to our members and guests. You must be able to liaise with staff and management in a personable manner and provide support and direction to Junior Chefs and Cooks. 

 

This is a hands-on position which requires an individual who is able to multi-task all aspects of our kitchens.

DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Day to day cooking and preparation of Kitchen
  • Ensuring that the quality of food is at a high and consistent level
  • Provide support and direction to other Chefs
  • Liaise with Sous Chef on daily basis
  • Basic data entry
  • Food ordering (External Suppliers)
  • Completion of requisitions
  • Food safety knowledge
  • Checking kitchen for cleanliness and WH&S issues
  • Implement new menu ideas
  • Maintain food costs at required level
  • Comply with company policies & procedures
  • Comply with safety work procedures
  • Use safe manual handling techniques
  • Daily Wastage Report and Preparation List

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

 

  • Experience in a Chef de Partie (or equivalent) role in a large establishment
  • Able to demonstrate that you are a highly skilled and talented Chef
  • Have a passion for cooking good food
  • Be able to work in a fast paced kitchen dealing with large demand
  • Trade qualifications (minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Food Safety)
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in a variety of cooking techniques and styles
  • Experience in leading a team during service
  • Advanced communication skills and ability to delegate
  • Proven ability to maintain a consistently high standard of food
  • High level organisation skills and presentation
  • Available days, afternoons, nights. Including weekends and public holidays
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
